History

• 1953 - Ruben Dickman founded Dickman Industrial, an industrial mill supply house in Sidney, Ohio.
• 1967 - Dickman Industrial was purchased by Charles Lynch, owner of Lynch Supply in Union City, Indiana, and was converted to an industrial & electrical wholesale supply house.
• 1975 - Dickman Supply began building custom electrical assemblies to meet a growing customer need.
• 1986 - Dickman Supply was purchased by Tim and Marla Geise who still own the company today.
• 1989 - The Lynch and Dickman names were dissolved and all divisions were incorporated as Dickman Supply, Inc.
• 1991 - Dickman Supply, Inc. outgrew its physical warehouse and built a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Sidney to serve as warehoue and headquarters.
• 1995 - The custom assembly division was expanded to include wire harnesses and custom wire leads.
• 1996 - The Union City store was moved to a new location in Greenville, Ohio.
• 2001 - To meet the growing needs of Dickman's northern customers, the Celina Branch was built. At the same time, the custom division was separated as a subsidiary of Dickman Supply and Electro Controls was born.
• 2002 - The Greenville store outgrew its home and a new 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse was constructed including a large Lighting Showroom.
• 2004 - Dickman Supply, Inc. recognized as one of the Greater Dayton area's Top 100 Companies
• 2006 - The Sidney location undergoes a remodel to provide customers with a state-of-the-art Center for Customer Education and Design Center.
• 2008 - The Greenville and Celina warehouses are expanded to meet the growing needs of customers.
• 2009 - Dickman Supply launches the Green Energy Solutions Division (GES) to work with customers in meeting their green energy directives.
• 2010 - Dickman Supply is awarded 2009 DP&L Channel Partner of the Year for their part in gaining utility rebates for customers.
